The story behind the shirt

In the 2007-08 season, Nantes achieved promotion from Ligue 2 under coach Michel Der Zakarian. With 70 points from 38 matches, the team finished the season in second place and secured an immediate return to Ligue 1. Mamadou Bagayoko and Nicolas Goussé each scored ten goals, while Thomas Dossevi contributed nine. In the Coupe de France, Nantes reached the sixth round. A shirt from this season represents the Canaris' successful return to the top flight of French football.
