Cuba

The Cuban national football team, known by the FIFA code CUB, plays its home matches at the Estadio Pedro Marrero. Lester Moré is the record goalscorer with 29 goals, while Yénier Márquez is considered the record appearance holder with 126 caps, although FIFA does not recognise all of his matches. Cuba belongs to the CONCACAF confederation and takes part in World Cup qualifying for the North and Central America zone. Despite limited international success, the team looks back on a long history. The shirts in the national colours of white, red and blue reflect the Cuban flag, making them sought-after collector's items for fans of Caribbean football. mehr lesen...
