K Beerschot VA

K Beerschot VA is a football club from Antwerp that plays its home matches at the Olympisch Stadion Antwerpen. The club's colours are purple and white, giving the club its distinctive look. The current club was formed in 2013 through the merger with Beerschot AC, after an earlier merger with Olympia Wilrijk had already taken place in 1973. Beerschot is one of the traditional clubs of Belgian football and plays in Division 1B. The Olympisch Stadion holds around 12,700 spectators.
