Club Sport Emelec

Club Sport Emelec was founded on 28 April 1929 in Barrio Astillero, the historic shipyard district of the Ecuadorian port city of Guayaquil. The initiative came from the North American George Capwell, whose name is now borne by the club's home stadium - the Estadio George Capwell, with room for around 40,000 spectators. Emelec is one of Ecuador's best-known football clubs and plays in the Serie A, the top Ecuadorian league. The club's colours, blue and black, have shaped its image for decades. The shirts from various eras reflect the long history of this deeply rooted coastal club. mehr lesen...
