CIS (Former USSR)

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) fielded a short-lived transitional national football team after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The team existed only in the year 1992 and took part in the European Championship in Sweden, where it failed to survive the group stage. The team played its first match in January 1992 in Miami and its last in June of the same year in Norrköping against Scotland. The CIS national team represents a unique historical moment between two footballing eras. The shirts from this period are rare relics of a fleeting chapter in European football history. mehr lesen...
