CA Independiente

Club Atlético Independiente was founded on 1 January 1905 in Avellaneda, an industrial suburb in the Greater Buenos Aires area. The "Diablos Rojos" - the Red Devils - traditionally wear red and are among the most successful football clubs in South America. With seven titles, they are record winners of the Copa Libertadores, along with two Intercontinental Cup victories and a total of 16 Argentine championships. The Estadio Libertadores de América holds around 50,000 spectators. The intense rivalry with local neighbours Racing Club, whose stadium is less than 300 metres away, shapes the club's identity to this day. Vintage shirts from Independiente carry the marks of this rich history. mehr lesen...
